Position:  Usher (September 2015 - April 2016)

  Head Usher & Manager, Game Day Operations

Job Description:

Ushers will report to the Head Usher and Game Day Operations Manager and will be responsible for directing IceDogs fans to their seats while also ensuring a family friendly atmosphere is upheld. 

Duties/Responsibilities:
An Usher’s main responsibility will be to greet incoming fans and direct them to their seats.  Other duties include, but are not limited to, supervising a seating area to ensure that fans are acting appropriately and answering any inquiries that the fans may have.

Smart Serve certification is required for this position.  Costs will be covered by the IceDogs.  https://www.smartserve.ca/

This position is a volunteer position and is unpaid.

Position:  Community Relations Volunteer (May 2015 – Early September 2015)

Reports to:  Community Relations Coordinator 

Application Deadline:  Open 

Job Description:
The Community Relations Volunteer will report to the Community Relations Intern and will be responsible for attending various community events throughout the Niagara region with the goal of promoting the Niagara IceDogs brand, products and services.  

Duties/Responsibilities:
The Community Relations Volunteer’s main responsibility will be to attend community events such as golf tournaments, school fun fairs, fundraisers, etc., interact with the community and promote the Niagara IceDogs brand, products and services.  Other duties include, but are not limited to: managing prize inventory, data entry and other occasional clerical work. 

Qualifications:
A background in Sport Management or Marketing, specifically public relations or branding is considered an asset.  The candidate must possess a positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills and a strong knowledge of the Niagara IceDogs team and historyThe person chosen for this position must be available to work on a flexible schedule.  A vehicle is considered an asset.  

This position is unpaid and is for school credit only.
