The Niagara IceDogs strive to be a positive and active member of the community, not only in St. Catharines, but throughout the Niagara Region.

Both Bones and the IceDogs players have visited numerous schools across Niagara talking to students about the importance of education, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle.  During the 2009-2010 Season we have visited the following schools:

 

 

 

In addition to the schools, the IceDogs have a significant presence at various events across the Niagara Region.  Bones has attended numerous events in the region this year including:

  • Niagara Grape & Wine Festival
  • Henley Honda Car Rally
  • Grand Opening of Bob's Fast and Fresh Convenience
  • Mascot Day at the Air Canada Centre
  • St.Catharines Museum Friends Day
  • Santa Clause Parades (Niagara Falls, St.Catharines, Niagara-on-the-Lake)
  • 105.1 19th Annual Good News Breakfast
  • Pen Centre Autograph Signing
  • Shoeless Joes- Alzheimers Event
  • Alzheimers Walk for Memory
  • Women's Provincial Gymnastics
  • Chili for Haiti
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids Sake
  • Bowl with Special Olympics

The IceDogs have worked hard to be involved in the community not only during the season, but throughout the summer months as well. In the summer months the IceDogs have participated in various events throughout the region including

  • Rankin Cancer Run
  • Walk of Hope for Schizophrenia
  • Welland Rose Festival
  • Beamsville Strawberry Festival
  • Friendship Festival in Fort Erie
  • Niagara Falls Canada Day Celebrations
  • Ridgeway Summer Festival
  • St. Catharines Ribfest
  • Numerous Charity Golf Tournaments
  • Merritton Labour Day Parade

 

In addition, the IceDogs also support various causes and events throughout the region with donation packages. They are made to various charitable causes in the region and are a way for the IceDogs to give back to the community.
