The Niagara IceDogs currently have six of their prospects selected in the 2010 OHL Priority Selection participating in the Under-17 Team Ontario Final Provincial Camp which is taking place in Oshawa at UOIT Durham College from July 6th-10th.

Davis Boyer, Jesse Graham, Billt Jenkins, Maxim Lamontagne, Jamie Lewis and Joel Wigle are all at the camp where they are trying to make a final push for a spot on the U17 Team Ontario team that will compete at the 2011 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge which takes place December 29th to January 4th in Winnipeg, MB.  In addition to providing another evaluation tool for the selection of Team Ontario, the provincial camp provides the players with an intense, high-calibre training opportunity and also serves as a learning experience for the participants, both on and off the ice.

Team Ontario will be looking to recapture the U17 title, having won it in 2008 and 2009 before falling to the United States in the Gold Medal game this past January.

Boyer, Graham, Jenkins, Lamontagne, Lewis and Wigle will be looking to follow in the footsteps of current IceDogs Andrew Agozzino, Mark Visentin, Freddie Hamilton and Dougie Hamilton, as well as former IceDog Matt Corrente who all have been a part of Team Ontario at the World Under 17 Hockey Challenge in past years.

The IceDogs wish all six players the best of luck at camp and look forward to hopefully seeing their names on the roster when the U17 Team Ontario roster is announced!
