On Monday night, the Niagara IceDogs hit the road and held an open practice at the Beamsville Arena as part of the RBC Community Skate initiative. After the practice, the IceDogs were back on the ice to sign autographs and pose for pictures with the hundreds of fans who came to watch their favourite team.
The event was held in support of the Lincoln Minor Hockey Association, who showed their pride by wearing their team jerseys. A chuck-a-puck contest was held to riase money for the association, with the winners taking home some great Niagara IceDogs prizes.
Beamsville marked the second community skate for Niagara this season, as they visited the Welland Main Arena back on September 24th.
The next stop on the RBC Community Skate tour will be at the Pelham Arena on Wednesday, November 9th from 6:40-8:40pm. Fans are encouraged to make the trip to Pelham to watch the IceDogs practice and to skate with their favourite players. Niagara IceDogs merchandise will be on sale for all RBC Community Skates (cash only).
