Putting the Beast Back in the Dog

November 22, 2007

The Niagara IceDogs would like to announce that they have joined forces with Silver Mist Productions in Niagara Falls on a joint promotional partnership. Silver Mist Productions is currently producing a musical adaptation of the hit Disney film Beauty and the Beast at the newly renovated Niagara Theatre for the Performing Arts. The show begins November 23rd and runs until January 1, 2008.

As part of the partnership, the IceDogs will be inviting Gabriel Burrafado to perform both the American and Canadian National Anthems during the IceDogs home game on Thursday, November 29th versus Erie. Gabriel is a proven performer who has taken part in a number of different productions throughout North America and will be starring as Beast in this adaptation.

Along with this performance, discounted ticket offers will be available at both venues. IceDogs fans will be able to receive an end ticket at the discounted rate of $12 by showing a Beauty and the Beast ticket stub. This offer is only valid through the IceDogs office and at the Gatorade Garden City Complex Box Office on game days. In return, a similar offer will be available for all Beauty and the Beast productions. By showing an IceDogs ticket stub at the Niagara Theatre for the Performing Arts Box Office, you will receive a ticket at half price with the purchase of a regular priced ticket.

“This is what we would consider a win-win situation for everyone involved” said IceDogs President Denise Burke. “With over 12,000 students and teachers visiting the Niagara Theatre throughout the Christmas season, this provides our organization with a great opportunity to reach out to one of our key target markets. And having the opportunity to bring in the Beast himself, Gabriel Burrafato, to perform both National Anthems during our November 29th home game should be a real treat for everyone in attendance.”

“The key to us joining forces is that both organizations are regional enterprises” said Silver Mist President Mike Lococo. “We share a common interest in bringing the Niagara Region together and see our partnership as a step in that direction.”
