OHL Suspends Kuhnhackl for 20 Games

Niagara IceDogs forward Tom Kuhnhackl received a 20 game suspension for a hit on Kitchener Rangers defenceman Ryan Murphy. 

The Ontario Hockey League announced today that IceDogs forward Tom Kuhnhackl has been suspended 20 games for a hit on Kitchener Rangers defenceman Ryan Murphy during their game in Kitchener last Friday, November 4th.

The incident happened early in the second period of Friday’s game and saw Kuhnhackl receive a 5 minute major for charging and a game misconduct.  Kuhnhackl was in his second game with the IceDogs after being acquired from the Windsor Spitfires on November 2nd.

Kuhnhackl has already served one game of the suspension, sitting out the second game of the IceDogs and Rangers home and home series on Saturday.  Kuhnhackl will be eligible to return for the IceDogs January 6th home game versus the Owen Sound Attack.
