Niagara IceDogs General Manager Dave Brown announced today that defenceman Keith Maisonville and Forward Dylan Wood have been sent to Junior B teams.
Maisonville will join the Chatham Junior Maroons, where he spent time last season. In two games with the IceDogs this season, Maisonville was a plus-1 with 2 penalty minutes.
Wood on the other hand won't be going very far at all, as he will be joining the St. Catharines Jr. B Falcons, who share the Gatorade Garden City Complex with the IceDogs. Wood has played in 5 games for the IceDogs this season, collecting 1 goal to go along with 2 penalty minutes.
"Both Keith and Dylan are still young kids, who we are hoping will be a big part of this team in the future" said Brown. "At the same point, they aren't necessarily getting as much as icetime with us as we would like right now. By sending them to play Junior B they will be able to play on a more consistent basis and it gives them the chance to develop more, so that they can be a part of this team in future. We would like to wish Keith and Dylan all the best with their Junior B teams and look forward to seeing them again in the future."
