Friday will mark the fourth meeting between the two Central Division rivals this season, with Niagara leading the series by a 2-1 margin.
After starting the season on a tear, the Majors have slowed their pace as of late, falling to fifth place in the tightest division in the OHL – only seven points separate the first and last place teams.
Riley Brace continues to lead the offence for Mississauga in a breakout season, registering 19 goals and 46 points through the first 35 games. To add perspective, Brace’s career bests before this season were 17 goals and 36 points back in 2009-2010.
The Majors’ best defenceman, and team captain, Stuart Percy was surprisingly absent from Team Canada’s National Team Selection Camp earlier this month. After registering 34 points and a +50 last season, Percy is on pace for another stellar season, recording 22 points in 25 games with a +12 rating.
