IceDogs Set to Open Training Camp Tuesday, August 28th!Aug 20, 2012 - 13:21 EDT
The Niagara IceDogs are gearing up for another exciting season and will be opening their training camp next Tuesday, August 28th. Camp will start Tuesday and run through until the IceDogs hit the road for their exhibition opener on the road on Friday, August 31st against the Erie Otters in Ancaster.
All practices and games will take place at the Gatorade Garden City Complex and are open to the public.
Things open up on Tuesday with early morning registration and the week will see players broken into four teams for a tournament, leading up to cuts and the Black and White game Thursday night. The players will then practice Friday before departing for their first exhibition game in Ancaster Friday night against the Otters.
The full on-ice schedule for the week is as follows:
Tuesday August 28th
1pm – Teams 1 (Black) and 2 (Red) Practice
2pm – Teams 3 (White) and 4 (Grey) Practice
4pm-5:30pm – Team 1 vs Team 2
5:30pm-7pm – Team 3 vs Team 4
Wednesday August 29th
8:30-10am – Team 1 vs Team 3
10am-11:30am – Team 2 vs Team 4
4-5:30pm – Team 1 vs Team 4
5:30-7pm – Team 2 vs Team 3
Thursday August 30th
8:30-10am – 3rd Place Game
10:30am-12pm – Championship Game
7pm – Black and White Game
Friday August 31st
8:30-9:30am – Practice for Non-Dressing Players
9:45-11am – Game Day Skate
7pm – Exhibition Game VS Erie Otters @ Ancaster, Ontario (Anticipated Location – Morgan Firestone Arena, Ancaster, Ontario)
