The Ontario Hockey League announced the winners of the 2009-10 OHL Eastern Conference Coaches Poll, with the Niagara IceDogs being represented in three categories, with Alex Friesen winning two and Andrew Agozzino finishing third in another.
Friesen, the third year native of Niagara-On-The-Lake, was named the Eastern Conference's Hardest Working Player and Best on Face-Offs, while Agozzino finished third in the Most Underrated Category.
Friesen beat out Kyle Clifford of the Barrie Colts and Casey Cizikas of the Mississauga Majors in the Hardest Worker category, and Cizikas and Cody Lindsay of the Ottawa 67's in the Best on Faceoffs category.
Agozzino on the other hand was edged by Ken Peroff of the Brampton Battalion and Luke Judson of the Belleville Bulls in the Most Underrated Player category.
The two category wins for Friesen tied him for the most in the Conference with Bryan Cameron of the Barrie Colts and Matt Clark of the Brampton Battalion.
The IceDogs would like to congratulate both Alex and Andrew on this recognition and their impressive seasons so far.
