Game 3 of the IceDogs opening round playoff series against the Ottawa 67's will return to St. Catharines and the Gatorade Garden City Complex Tuesday night and the IceDogs need your help.
Down 2-0 after a pair of heartbreaking losses in Ottawa over the weekend, the IceDogs face an extremely important game 3 on home ice Tuesday night.
In the series opener on Friday night, the IceDogs fell 4-3 on a goal by Tyler Toffoli with less than five minutes remaining in the third period.
On Sunday, the IceDogs would suffer another tough defeat, losing 3-1. Ottawa would take a 2-0 lead midway through the second period before a Dylan MacEachern goal would score to make the score 2-1 heading into the third. The IceDogs peppered 67's goaltender Chris Perugini with 16 shots in the third, but could not get the bounce they needed to tie things up and a Thomas Nesbitt empty net goal would make it a 3-1 final.
The IceDogs will look to flip the script on Ottawa as the teams take to the Gatorade Garden City Complex ice for the first time in the series.
The IceDogs have enjoyed a 10-4 record at home in 2010 and look to build upon that success as they look to close the gap to 2-1 in the series.
A big part of the IceDogs success at home has been the crowds, with the arena at or near capacity almost every game. The IceDogs need that support to continue as they do battle in the playoffs and they need your help to make it happen.
There are still plenty of great seats available for both Tuesday and Thursday's games and tickets can be purchased at all IceDogs ticket locations, as well as through Ticketmaster.
Tuesday night will also see the IceDogs kick off their first home playoff game of the year with a Pre-Game FanFest in the parking lot that will see music, food and drinks.
In addition, the IceDogs retail store will be kicking off the playoffs with a special 50% Blowout Sale on select items, so come out to the store and grab some IceDogs gear at a great price to help show your support!
The IceDogs are relying on the great fans of the Niagara Region to help them show the 67's what home ice advantage is all about, so get your tickets now and join us Tuesday night. Get loud, get proud and let's show Ottawa what the Niagara region is made of!
