The NHL Central Scouting Midterm rankings came out today and a pair of IceDogs made the rankings, with forward Freddie Hamilton and goaltender Mark Visentin both making the list.

Hamilton, the IceDogs first round pick in 2008, is currently ranked 102nd among North American skaters.

In his second OHL season, Hamilton has picked up his offensive play from his rookie season, tallying 14 goals and 17 assists, for 31 points in 42 games, placing him third on the team in scoring behind only Andrew Agozzino and Alex Friesen.  He has also played a solid two way game for the IceDogs, seeing time on both the power play and penalty kill.

Visentin, finds himself ranked eighth among North American goaltenders, the highest ranking of any OHL goaltender.

Also in his second season, Visentin has seen a great improvement in his play, picking up 11 wins so far this season, up from 5 last season, to go along with a 3.38 G.A.A, down from 4.26 last season, and a .903 save percentage, up from .871 last season. 

In addition, Visentin has been recognized for his performance in various ways this season, having been named CHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending October 4th, as well as being named to the CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game coming up next week in Windsor.

Both players will be looking to help their draft stock by helping lead the IceDogs throughout the rest of the season, in hopes of placing themselves in a playoff position in the Eastern Conference.

This will all culminate in the 2010 NHL Draft which will take place in June 25th-26th in Los Angeles, CA.
