Snowy roads and unsettled weather did not keep the IceDogs or the hundreds of fans from attending our 3rd RBC Community Skate of the year last night in Wainfleet.
The Dogs loaded up the bus and hit the road, travelling to the Wainfleet Arena where they conducted an open practice for an hour and then signed autographs and posed for pictures for the many excited Wainfleet and surrounding area IceDogs fans in attendance.
It was a great turn out on a snowy night, with over 200 fans in attendance, many of whom play for the Wainfleet Wild Minor Hockey Association. Admission for the event was collected in the form of a donation to the Red Cross in support of the Haiti Relief Fund. WMHA Volunteers also sold raffle tickets to win an autoraphed IceDogs jersey and stick. Two lucky minor hockey players went home with the autographed items.
The Niagara IceDogs would like to thank the WMHA for their support in organizing our 3rd RBC Community Skate of the year.
