Former Niagara IceDogs defenceman Matt Corrente has been recalled by the New Jersey Devils from their AHL afiliate in Lowell.
The recall came as rosters are expanded for the playoffs.
Corrente is in his second season pro season recording 5 goals and 15 assists for 20 points, to go along with 74 penalty minutes in 43 games with Lowell. He also played in 12 games for New Jersey where he was held pointless, accumulating 24 penalty minutes.
While Corrente normally plays defence, he was skating as a spare forward at Devils practice on Tuesday.
