Dougie Hamilton and Team Ontario had a disappointing end to a successful run at the World Under-17 Challenge, losing 2-1 to the United States in the Gold Medal in Timmins on Monday Night.

Coming in the United States sported a perfect 5-0 record in the tournament, while Ontario had won four straight, bouncing back off of a tough loss to Finland in the opening game of the tournament.  With both teams having played some excellent hockey, it shaped up to be a tough battle for both squads heading into the game and it didn't disappoint, with a 2-1 final.

Dougie Hamilton finished the tournament with one assist in the six games and is now heading back to St. Catharines with a Silver Medal.

Dougie will be back in the lineup for the IceDogs on Thursday night as the IceDogs take on the Plymouth Whalers at the Gatorade Garden City Complex.  Game time is 7:30pm and there are still tickets available.
