The Niagara IceDogs will make history this Saturday, May 1st as they become the first team in OHL history to hold two first round picks in the OHL Priority Selection.
In addition to their 6th overall pick, the IceDogs also own the 8th overall pick, which is a compensatory pick as a result of not being able to sign last year's first round pick, Lucas Lessio, whose rights were traded to Oshawa.
In addition to their two, first round selections, the IceDogs will also have two second round selections, giving them four picks out of the top 40.
The IceDogs will be looking to pull off another successful draft, having had 2009 draft picks Dougie Hamilton, Andrew Fritsch, John Chartrand and Mitchell Theoret all make the team last season.
