This past weekend, Niagara IceDogs Owner Bill Burke, took part in the 4th Annual Walk A Mile In Her Shoes walk in support of Gillian’s Place. 

The walk saw almost 90 men come out in high heel shoes to participate in the walk at the Pen Centre, all in support of women who have overcome abuse or are enduring it.

The event raised about $37,000, a $6,000 increase over last year’s event.  The money will all go to help Gillian’s Place provide shelter and support services for women in the St. Catharines, Thorold, Niagara-On-The-Lake, Grimsby, Lincoln and West Lincoln.

The IceDogs would like to congratulate Bill and everyone else who participated in Walk A Mile In Her Shoes and hope to see everyone out at next year’s event.
