Agozzino named to Eastern Conference All-Star Team

January 13, 2010

IceDogs Captain Andrew Agozzino has been named to the Eastern Conference All-Star team for the up coming OHL All-Star Game in Kingston.

Niagara IceDogs Captain Andrew Agozzino was named to the Eastern Conference All-Star team for the 2010 OHL All-Star Classic, during a press conference held today in Kingston.

The Eastern Conference All-Stars will host the Western Conference All-Stars in the two-day event beginning with the skills competition on Tuesday February 2, 2010, with the game taking place on Wednesday February 3, 2010.  Both events are at 7:00 pm at the K-Rock Centre in Kingston, ON.

The selection is well deserved for Agozzino, who currently leads the IceDogs in both goals and points with 22 goals and 39 points in 40 games and will be making his first appearance in the OHL All-Star Classic.

The third year forward has spent his entire career with the IceDogs and also led the team in scoring last season, with 27 goals and 29 assists for 56 points in 67 games.

Agozzino will be part of an Eastern Conference squad led by Stan Butler and the coaching staff of the 2009 Eastern Conference Champion, Brampton Battalion, while the Western Conference team will be coached by Bob Boughner and the coaching staff of the 2009 Western Conference Champion, Windsor Spitfires.
